Job Description
As a Pro Shop Attendant, you will act as a key member of the Golf Operations team. Reporting to the Director of Golf, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service. You will work closely with the Pro Shop Manager, Tournament Coordinator and Pro Shop Attendant team executing day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Treat guests in a courteous, respectful, and friendly manner
- Strive to maintain a first-class, aesthetically pleasing environment
- Provide fast and efficient service while anticipating guests needs
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility
- Attend to customer needs as they pertain to retail and golf
- Assist with tournament setup and scoring
- Answer phone inquiries in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Act as a liaison with Player Assistants and Starters
- Facilitate the rental club program including paperwork and club condition
- Be familiar and efficient with cash procedures for opening and closing
- Collect and properly organize data from league play

- Work inside Cardinal Pro Shop unless instructed otherwise

Job Description
As a Back Shop Attendant, you will act as a key member of the Golf Operations team. Reporting to the Director of Golf, you will be responsible for ensuring quick and efficient service while providing exceptional customer service. You will work closely with the Pro Shop Manager, Tournament Coordinator and Pro Shop Attendant team handling day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain power cart fleet
- Daily cart set-up
- Wash, clean, and general maintenance of power cart fleet
- Set-up of power carts for tournaments
- On-duty senior Back Shop employee responsible organizing and directing golf services staff regarding tournament operations
- Stocking of products such as water and other giveaways both on power carts and around the clubhouse area
- Assist with tournament conveners as needed
- Ensuring that all rental clubs are cleaned and accounted for after use
- Responsible for keeping the area around the clubhouse swept, free of garbage and generally neat during the day
- Monitor the locker rooms for cleanliness and supplies as needed
- Keep immediate workplace organized, clean and kept free of garbage
- Make sure all power carts are plugged in at the end of the night
- Clean and organize the pull carts as needed
- Clean up registration area after tournaments have vacated the area
Qualifications
- Driver’s license class G1
- Current or previous experience in golf services is an asset

Job Description
As Server & Beverage Cart Operator, you will assist the Food and Beverage team in setting tables, as well as taking & serving orders to customers while providing outstanding customer services. You will also stock the beverage carts, fridges, and provide on-course food & beverage service to golfers.
Responsibilities
- Treat all guests in a courteous and respectful manner at all times
- Assist guests by providing menu’s, taking orders, making suggestions, and answering questions
- Maintain sanitation at all times
- Greet all guests upon their arrival
- Ensure payment is collected from all guests
- Ensure supplies are available for all guests
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
- Responsible for clean-up duties at end of shift

Job Description
As a part of the Turf Team, you will perform day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our golf courses. While you may be assigned to a specific club, you may be asked to work anywhere on property. You will also assist in completing daily tasks that will be outlined by the course Superintendent which includes general landscaping.
Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance including cutting rough, fairways, tees, and greens
- Bunker maintenance
- Daily course preparation for play
- Assist in cultural practices such as fertilizing, topdressing, verticutting, rolling, and aerating
- Participate in irrigation repairs, head leveling, and hand watering
- General property maintenance including tree and shrub pruning, leaf clean-up, and hand weeding of bunkers and flow beds
- Housekeeping duties to ensure all areas on the golf course are maintained in a neat, organized, and clean manner at all times
- Maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure they are kept in a safe and orderly manner
Qualifications
- Must have transportation available
- Must be available for weekends and early mornings
- Must be physically fit and able to lift moderate weight (30 to 50 lbs.)
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
- Ability to work both alone and in group settings to complete work in a timely manner and within deadline
- Must be available to work outside in varying weather conditions

Job Description
As the Marshal (Volunteer), you will provide high levels of friendly, continuous customer service while working closely with the Golf Services team including the Pro Shop and Back Shop employees.
Responsibilities
- Maintain pace of play on assigned golf course
- Assist guests
- Use provided tracking sheets to monitor and record player progress during their rounds
- Provide consistent communication with the Starter and Pro Shop team
- Enforce rules and regulations as set forth in our policy and procedure manual as well as any temporary rules
- Enforce Ontario Liquor Laws regarding outside alcohol
- Ensure guests are conducting themselves in a safe and courteous manner
- Inform your replacement at shift change and/or to the Pro Shop at the end of your shift of any important information
- Assist in tournament set-up and organization
- Assist in course set-up
- Assist in fixing ball markers on greens
- Pick up any garbage you come across on the golf course

Job Description
As a Starter (Volunteer), you will provide a high level of customer service as you support different areas of the outside golf services.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for greeting customers and providing direction as well as assisting them with their golf bags
- Support the daily cart set up
- Responsible for loading golf bags on power carts for customers when required
- Responsible for checking groups and individuals in at the cart staging area prior to tee off
- Introduce themselves to every group
- Must collect the proper receipts from each group
- Responsible for recording cart numbers on the tracking sheets
- Record accurate starting times for every group on the tee sheet
- Deliver the “RedCrest Starters Message” as outlined in the policies and procedures including our alcohol policy
- Must make every effort to make sure the tee is running on time and communicate with Pro Shop of any delays
- Responsible for making sure it is safe for players to tee off and instructing them when to do so
- Responsible for updating tee sheets
- Responsible for monitoring and recording turn times as the day progresses
- Advise groups who stop between nines if they have exceeded the allotted time limit
- Notify the Pro Shop of any pace of play issues
- Assist with tournament set-up as directed
- Inform their replacement at shift change or the Pro Shop at the end of their shift as to any situations of concern on the golf course and any other information that may be helpful to the remaining staff members
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy starter’s hut

As a Line Cook, you will act as a key member of the Food & Beverage team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the team in daily operations and functions on-site as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment.
