Job Description
As a part of the Turf Team, you will perform day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our golf courses. While you may be assigned to a specific club, you may be asked to work anywhere on property. You will also assist in completing daily tasks that will be outlined by the course Superintendent which includes general landscaping.
Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance including cutting rough, fairways, tees, and greens
- Bunker maintenance
- Daily course preparation for play
- Assist in cultural practices such as fertilizing, topdressing, verticutting, rolling, and aerating
- Participate in irrigation repairs, head leveling, and hand watering
- General property maintenance including tree and shrub pruning, leaf clean-up, and hand weeding of bunkers and flow beds
- Housekeeping duties to ensure all areas on the golf course are maintained in a neat, organized, and clean manner at all times
- Maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure they are kept in a safe and orderly manner
Qualifications
- Must have transportation available
- Must be available for weekends and early mornings
- Must be physically fit and able to lift moderate weight (30 to 50 lbs.)
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
- Ability to work both alone and in group settings to complete work in a timely manner and within deadline
- Must be available to work outside in varying weather conditions

A quick ten minutes from Oliver’s Nest is Cardinal 18 Golf Club. A fantastic 18-hole track nestled in the heart of protected woodlands, rolling hills, mature trees, creeks and ponds. It provides an exceptional experience for all golfers and is wonderfully manicured and beautifully conditioned with bent grass greens, tee decks and fairways.
Job Description
The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and sharpening all turf equipment to ensure safe and efficient golf course operations. This role manages service records, maintains parts inventory, and works closely with the Golf Course Superintendents and Property Manager to ensure equipment reliability and safety. The Equipment Technician supports staff training on equipment use and assists with winter property maintenance. This position reports to the Golf Course Superintendent.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendents in training staff on proper and safe equipment operation
- Maintain all equipment to Cardinal and RedCrest performance and quality standards
- Ensure full compliance with all safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and operational directives
- Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure equipment readiness, availability, and optimal functionality
- Record all service work and repairs for each machine to support accurate operational cost tracking
- Communicate with the Property Manager regarding equipment requiring replacement or retirement due to safety concerns or cost inefficiencies
- Maintain and monitor a minimum parts inventory to support uninterrupted equipment operation
- Track and record daily fuel usage
- Assist with winter maintenance of clubhouse facilities, maintenance buildings, and parking lots as required
Qualifications
- Weekends and early mornings are required. Work schedules are organized by the Property Manager. Wage determined by the Golf Course Superintendent.
- Must have a high level of Mechanical aptitude
- Must supply own tools
- Must have previous experience in Turf maintenance
- Class G License
